Prince William recently revealed that he still sneaks away to enjoy one of his favorite hobbies, though it’s something his wife, Princess Catherine, isn’t particularly thrilled about.
During a visit on June 11 with volunteers from Norfolk Blood Bikes, a charity group that transports blood, plasma, breast milk, and other critical medical supplies for the NHS, the Prince of Wales praised the riders for the lifesaving work they do across the community.
The visit included the launch of a new rapid-response vehicle, and William spent time speaking with volunteers about the importance of their service.
“It’s a crucial part of the community,” he told them.
“Many people don’t realize how important the network is.
You provide such a vital link.
You’re amazing.”
While admiring the fleet of vehicles, William admitted that he has always loved motorcycles and still rides from time to time.
However, he joked that he now does it very quietly and sometimes under a “disguise” to avoid attention.

The future king earned his motorcycle license in 2002 and has long been passionate about riding.
In 2008, he and Prince Harry completed a 1,000-mile motorcycle journey through South Africa, raising hundreds of thousands of pounds for charity.
Even so, William acknowledged that he has become more cautious in recent years, especially after becoming a father.
His wife has openly spoken about her concerns regarding his love of motorcycles.
During a royal visit in 2015, Catherine admitted that seeing William ride still filled her with fear and that she hoped their eldest son, Prince George, would stay away from the hobby.
A few years later, William confessed that he missed taking longer motorcycle trips but explained that family responsibilities now come first.
“I’m a dad of three,” he said.
“I have to tone it down a bit.
I miss the big rides, but that was always part of the fun.”
