Meghan Markle ‘keen to make amends’ on UK visit amid royal feud: ‘She will use this trip to build bridges’

A royal expert has offered his opinion on Meghan Markle’s reported return to the UK, suggesting that she appears to be “keen to make amends” during the visit.

Meghan and Harry Expected to Return to Britain This Summer

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are reportedly planning to travel to Britain this summer as preparations continue for the 2027 Invictus Games.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are believed to be bringing their children, Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, with them.

If the trip goes ahead, it will mark the children’s first visit to the UK since they attended the late Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022.

Ahead of Meghan’s anticipated return, a former royal butler has suggested the visit could provide an opportunity for her to repair strained relationships within the royal family.

Grant Harrold Believes Meghan Should Keep a Low Profile

Relations between Prince Harry and the royal family have reportedly suffered since he and Meghan stepped away from royal duties in 2020.

Their subsequent interviews and Harry’s memoir, Spare, are widely believed to have deepened the divide.

Recent reports indicate that the couple could be back in Britain within weeks, accompanied by Archie and Lilibet.

Speaking on behalf of ActionNetwork, former royal butler Grant Harrold shared his view that Meghan would be wise to avoid drawing unnecessary attention to herself during the visit.

“She definitely shouldn’t be using it for celebrity events,” Grant said.

He acknowledged that invitations to public appearances would likely come her way.

“Being realistic I think there is a chance we will see her go to a few things.

And promote herself and her brand.

It really wouldn’t be a great idea and if there are talks of a possible reunion, it could affect things,” he explained.

Royal Expert Says the Couple Appear Ready to Rebuild Relationships

Grant pointed out that Harry and Meghan are no longer working members of the royal family and are therefore free to make their own decisions.

Even so, he warned that attending high-profile celebrity events during the visit could send the wrong message.

According to Grant, it appears that both Harry and Meghan are becoming increasingly aware of the importance of healing family tensions.

“I do think her and Harry are becoming more conscious of that and seem keen to make amends.

So maybe she will use this trip to build bridges rather than promote brand Meghan,” Grant said.

He continued: “I would love it if she went down this route.

But again, there is always a chance we will see her pop up at a few evenTS.”

Harry Preparing for the 2027 Invictus Games

It has recently been reported that Prince Harry is expected to return to Britain as preparations gather pace for next year’s Invictus Games.

The sporting event is scheduled to take place in Birmingham from July 10 to July 17.

Founded by Harry in London in 2014, the Invictus Games is an international multi-sport competition for wounded, injured, and sick military personnel, including both active service members and veterans.

According to reports, Harry is particularly eager to open the event alongside his father, King Charles.

It has also been claimed that he hopes Meghan, along with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, will join him in the UK for the occasion.
